The Ohana Waikiki Beachcomber is a 3-star hotel located in the heart of Waikiki on Kalakaua Avenue. This older property was recently taken over by the Outrigger/Ohana hotel chain and has recentlyundergone a multi-million dollar renovation of all rooms, guest corridors and elevators. The hotel is home to the wonderful Magic of Polynesia, featuring Hawaii's own well known illusionist,John Hirokawa. Located on the lobby level, the 700-seat theater was specifically designed for hiselectrifying displays. Shows are on Tuesday through Saturday with dinner and show or show only seating. The property's Hibiscus Café has been closed and work has begun on the new 400-seat Jimmy Buffett'sat the Beachcomber's restaurant and showroom, scheduled to open in early 2009.
